Tax Free Benefits	Benefits upon the death of a dependent are paid to the employee tax-free.
Retroactive Premium Waiver	If a totally disabled employee has been approved for waiver of premium under the Life Insurance benefit, the premium for his Dependent Life Insurance benefit will also be waived. Premiums are waived retroactive to the 1st of the month following the date of disability.
Non-Medical Conversion	Within 31 days of termination of this benefit for any reason, an employee or his spouse may convert the spouse’s dependent life insurance amount to an individual policy without medical evidence.
Pre-Natal Benefit	Upon receipt by The Cooperators of satisfactory proof of a stillbirth, The Cooperators will provide a benefit for funeral expenses in an amount equal to the lessor of the actual amount of the funeral expense or the amount of the dependent life insurance for which a child is covered.
